VC-234G, Ethernet VDSL2 converter, 4x 1000Base-T, master/slave, profile 30a, G.993.5 Vectoring, G.INP
PLANET VC-234G
Ethernet over telephone line (VDSL2 technology). 4× LAN RJ-45, 2× VDSL2 RJ-11 (splitter). Transparent bridge. G.993.2 VDSL2, G.993.5 G.Vectoring + G.INP. DC 5 V/ 2 A power supply (power supply included).
Capacity 200/160 Mbps over 200 m. Range up to 1.4 km. DIP switch settings, optional Master (CO) / Slave (CPE). Possible operation on VDSL O2 line.
LRE
(Long Reach Ethernet) Ethernet to VDSL2 (Very-high-data-rate Digital Subscriber Line 2) converter The Ethernet converter allows data to be transmitted over a symmetrical pair of wires at speeds of up to 200 Mbps over 200 m or 30 Mbps over a distance of up to 1.4 km, transmission speeds depending on the condition and quality of the line used. The device is universal as master (CO) / slave (CPE) unit, mode setting by switch. The unit supports VDSL2 operating modes according to transmission profiles "17a" and "30a", selection according to "band Plan997" and G.993.5 G.Vectoring & G.INP affecting symmetrical data transmission at higher speeds even on parallel lines.
With the help of an external splitter, voice service can be maintained on the telephone line without further wiring modification. It is thus possible to use telephone cable lines originally intended for connection not only to subscribers but also between analogue exchanges.
ISP (internet service provider) providers are thus enabled to offer multimedia services, VOD (video on demand), VoIP (voice over IP), Video phone, IPTV etc.
VDSL2 applications with advanced G.INP and G.Vectoring can also be operated within active SFP elements thanks to the XL-MGB-VDSL2-R2 module (see recommended accessories).
The modem can be successfully operated over O2 VDSL lines.
This product is not compatible with the PLANET VC-201A converter.
