Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are designed for harsh operating conditions with a large operating temperature range, uncertain power supply and frequent shocks. At the same time, they provide excellent multiple interconnect capabilities to achieve robust system interconnection with very low recovery times.
The IGS Series switches are easily installed on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall, enabling the deployment of well-known Ethernet technology even in industrial environments. They are equally suitable for installations in outdoor enclosures with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
The IGS-10020MT
is equipped for redundancy, in addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds), primarily with a dedicated "Redundant ring" function which has a recovery and new path discovery time of up to 10 ms.
