To start the humidifier, unscrew the top cover counterclockwise, then add clean water and connect the device to the usb power supply. Pressing the touch button for the first time will turn the device on - steam will start to fly and the backlight will turn on, pressing it again will make the backlight turn off and pressing it a third time turns the device off.
