Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are designed for harsh operating conditions with large operating temperature range, uncertain power supply and frequent shocks. At the same time, they provide excellent multi-path capabilities to achieve robust system interconnection with very low recovery times.
The IGS-801M
is equipped for redundancy, in addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds), primarily with a dedicated "Redundant ring" function that has a recovery and new path discovery time of up to 300ms.
The IGS series switches are easy to install on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall and allow the deployment of the well-known Ethernet technology even in industrial environments. They are equally suitable for installations in outdoor enclosures with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
